What to Expect Sunday Morning

When Should I Arrive?

Our doors open early on Sunday morning as several ministry teams are getting prepared for the worship service. You are welcome at any time but most people arrive somewhere between 9:00 and 9:30AM. If you're running a few minutes late, don't worry...we're very casual.

What Should I Wear?

At Living Water Church you will find a casual atmosphere with a range of formality in the congregation's clothing choices. Some may dress up in slacks and dress shoes while others might choose to wear their jeans and t-shirts. As long as it's modest, we don't care what you wear, we're just happy you came! Feel free to browse our Facebook videos to see what the trending wardrobe patterns are. One thing is certain, you will not see our pastor in a suite and tie.

What Should I Bring?

You really don't need to bring anything but yourself. If you have a Bible and want to bring it, it will get used. However, we do have Bibles you can borrow while here so don't worry if you don't have it handy. And if you don't own one, let us know. We firmly believe in the Bible and will make sure you have one to access for your own spiritual growth.

What Happens When I Get There?

Before the service - When you walk in, you will likely be greeted by someone at the door. Don't worry, they just want to be the first to say "Hi" and answer any questions you have. There are coat racks for you to hang your jacket up if you'd like, or you can bring it in the sanctuary with you. As you approach the sanctuary there will likely be someone handing out bulletins. These just provide information about the service and upcoming events. Take one if you would like. There is a water dispenser and bathrooms down the hall so make yourself at home.

The Service - At 9:30, the Praise Team will take the stage and the congregation will sing. Our music is a blended style, utilizing some new and modern songs while also clinging to some of the aged classics that have been handed down to us through the centuries of church history. There is often a "meet and greet" song that has people taking time to shake hands. Feel free to stay where you're at or you can move around and mingle with people for a few short moments. At some point there will likely be announcements made and an offering taken. Don't worry, this is not a pressure sales pitch for you to give money to the church. This is for our members who have committed to the various ministries of our church. We take this up weekly and some people give through the mail, online, in the offering plate, or by some other method, so you won't be the only person not contributing. Just remember, you are our guest and we're just glad you came to visit with us. It's an honor to have you. The pastor will preach a sermon over a passage of the Bible following the singing time and when he concludes there will be one final dismissal song.

After Service - Following the service, we have a time of fellowship (hanging out with snacks and coffee) and around 11:00AM we have different classes that take place. We have a men's class, women's class, and various children's classes that are divided into certain age groups. Occasionally the pastor will conduct a co-ed class as well. These classes last about an hour and then everyone leaves. Simple as that.
